It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Cassells, an esteemed Veterinary Surgeon. John peacefully passed away on August 10, 2023, at the Beacon Hospital in Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. He will be deeply missed by his wife Nuala, children Kevin, Dermot, Susanne, and Maria, as well as his brother PJ, sister Dympna, grandchildren Charlie, Jason, and John, daughter-in-law Frances, son-in-law Ciaran, and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Mary Kate and Peter, along with his brother Pauric and sisters Maura and Anna.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 12, from 5pm to 7pm at Clarke’s Funeral Home in Beckscourt, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan. Another visitation will be held at his home Rantavan House in Mullagh, Co. Cavan, on Sunday, August 13, from 4pm to 7:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 14, at 11am at St. Killian’s Church in Mullagh, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Irish Cancer Society. May John Rest In Peace.
