Notice: John Finbarr O’Mahony, lovingly known as Seanie, passed away peacefully at his residence in Killountain, Bandon, surrounded by his beloved family on July 29th, 2023. He was the cherished husband of Dianne and the loving father of Claire, Alan, Ian, Nuala, and the late Kevin. Seanie will be greatly missed by his adored grandchildren Nicola, Jack, Conor, Amy, and Ben, as well as his dear brother Davy, sisters Teresa, Margaret, and Marian, and the late Peter and Hannah. He will also be fondly remembered by his son-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and friends.
The funeral arrangements for Seanie include his repose at his son‘s home in Killountain Bandon on Sunday evening, with prayers at 7 pm. A requiem mass will be held on Tuesday at 2 pm in St Patrick’s church, Bandon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The family kindly requests that flowers be omitted and suggests donations to Marymount Hospice Cork if desired. Seanie’s family extends their gratitude to the Marymount palliative care team, Dr Peter Coffey, Bandon public health nurses, Chemco Pharmacy, Dementia Ireland, Cancer Connect, and Margaret Crowley Home Help.
