Notice: John Flynn of Aughalustia, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon, passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2023, with his family by his side at University Hospital, Galway. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Michael and Bridget, as well as his brother Christy and sister Una. John is survived by his loving wife Rose, sons Paul, Sean, and Kevin, sisters Betty, Evelyn, and Josie, grandchildren Cian, Holly, and Amber, daughter-in-law Nicola, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and many friends. May he rest in peace.

John’s body will be at The Sharkey Funeral Home in Ballaghaderreen on Sunday from 5pm until 7pm. On Monday, there will be a removal from his home at 11:30am to St. Nathy’s Cathedral for a Mass of the Resurrection at 12 noon, followed by the funeral at Kilcolman Cemetery. The house will be private, and John’s Mass will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend.

A visitation will take place at The Sharkey Funeral Home in Ballaghaderreen, and a Mass of the Resurrection will occur at St. Nathy’s Cathedral, followed by burial at Kilcolman Cemetery. The funeral will be private, but the Mass will be live-streamed for virtual attendance. May John rest in peace.
