Notice: John G. Keating, a journalist from Dublin, passed away peacefully on April 25th, 2023, in Paris after a long illness which he bravely endured with great humor. Keating was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed by his family. His remains will be brought back to Ireland on May 12th and a Requiem Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Barrowhouse, Co. Laois on May 13th at 2pm. Burial will follow at Barrowhouse Cemetery. May he rest in peace.

John G. Keating, a journalist from Dublin known for his great humor, passed away in Paris after battling a long illness. Keating was remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be sorely missed by his grieving family. A homecoming is scheduled for May 12th, where his remains will be brought back to his hometown in Ireland. A Requiem Mass will then be held in St. Mary’s Church in Barrowhouse, Co. Laois on May 13th at 2pm, followed by burial at Barrowhouse Cemetery. The death notice ends with the Irish phrase “Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis” which translates to “May he rest in peace.”
