John, who resided in Station View on Station Road in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo, peacefully passed away at Galway University Hospital in the presence of his beloved family. He is preceded in death by his brother Declan. John will be deeply mourned and greatly missed by his loving family, including his husband Raymond, parents Mary and John, siblings Sandra, Gabriel, Fergus, Deirdre, Finian, Adrian, Christopher, Gary, and Robert, as well as his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and a wide circle of friends.

John will be laid to rest at his home on Fr. Paul Murphy Street in Edenderry {Eircode R45 EP28} this Friday from 3pm to 8pm, with a Rosary service at 8pm. The funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at 3:30pm at St. Mary’s Church in Edenderry, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
