John Joe Brereton

Notice: John Joe peacefully passed away at Regional Hospital Tullamore, surrounded by his loved ones. He was predeceased by his wife Marcella, partner Pat and sister Teresa. John Joe is survived by his children, Sean, Thomas, Esther, Martina, Paul, Sandra, Raymond, Austin, and Tony, siblings Maureen, Kevin, Evelyn, Austin, Sylvester, and Brian, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbors, and a large circle of friends. A rosary was held on Sunday at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington, and a funeral Mass will be held at St Brochan’s Church Bracknagh on Monday, followed by burial at St Brochan’s Cemetery. The family has requested privacy in the morning on Monday, and there will be no flowers at the service. Instead, the family has requested donations to The Friends of Tullamore Hospital. The funeral service will be streamed live on Facebook. The family thanked everyone for their support and understanding.

John Joe is remembered as a beloved and cherished member of his community who will be dearly missed.
