John Joe O’Connell, Lighthouse, Ballydesmond, passed away peacefully on September 3rd, 2024 in the excellent care of the staff of Araglen House Nursing Home, Boherbue, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his parents Jack and Mary, brothers Thady and Leonard, sister Marion and niece Maggie.
Deeply regretted by his brothers Pat, Mike, Dan, Anthony, Kevin and Brendan, sisters Noreen (Murphy), Sheila (Jones), Nancy (Russell) and Alice (Cronin), brothers-in- law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives, kind neighbours, many friends and his co-workers in Newmarket Co-Op.

Reposing at Tarrant’s Funeral Home, Ballydesmond on Thursday (September 5th) from 7.30pm to 9pm.
Reception into St. Patrick’s Church, Ballydesmond on Friday (September 6th) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
