Notice: It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Mc Ginley, who peacefully passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital. John resided at Ardravan House, Swilly Road, Buncrana. He was a beloved husband to Maeve and a son to the late Jack and Agnes Mc Ginley, may their souls rest in peace. John was also a dear brother to Patricia Lynch, Oonagh Philips, and Patrick. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Rosemary and brother Denis, may their souls rest in peace. John will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held at his residence starting at 8pm, Monday 7th. The funeral will take place from there on Wednesday, August 9th at 9:30am, proceeding to St. Mary’s Oratory for a requiem mass at 10am. Following the mass, John will be laid to rest in Cockhill Cemetery.
During the hours of 10pm to 10am, the family kindly requests privacy, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association through any family member.
