Notice: John Molloy, former detective Sergeant of An Garda Siochana, passed away suddenly at his home in Carrigaline on July 27, 2023, at the age of 71. He is deeply mourned and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Eileen, their children, and their spouses. John’s love, care, and fun with his grandchildren, whom he cherished dearly, will forever be remembered. He is also survived by his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, Garda colleagues, neighbors, and friends.
John’s remains will be at his home in Hillcrest on Sunday, July 30, from 2.00pm to 7.00pm. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, July 31, at 12.00noon at Church of Our Lady and St. John in Carrigaline, followed by cremation at The Island Crematorium in Ringaskiddy. In lieu of flowers, donations to the RNLI, a charity that held a special place in John’s heart, would be appreciated.
