Notice: John Molloy, formerly of Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, passed away suddenly at his home in Hillcrest, Carrigaline on July 27th, 2023. He was a former detective Sergeant in the An Garda Siochana and is deeply mourned by his beloved wife Eileen, their children, and their spouses. John was a loving and caring grandfather to his grandchildren, who will miss his kindness and generosity. He is also survived by his siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, colleagues, neighbors, and friends.
John’s remains will be reposed at his home on Hillcrest on Sunday, July 30th, from 2.00pm until 7.00pm. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, July 31st, at 12.00noon at the Church of Our Lady and St. John in Carrigaline. Following the Mass, John will be cremated at The Island Crematorium in Ringaskiddy. In lieu of flowers, mourners are encouraged to make donations to the RNLI, a charity that was important to John.
John Molloy will be dearly missed, and may he rest in peace.
