John Mooney

Notice: John Mooney, formerly of Tallaght, Dublin, and later of Castlelost Vale, Rochfortbridge, Co. Westmeath, has passed away peacefully at his home. Despite facing a brief illness, John showed great courage and dignity throughout. He is survived and deeply missed by his loving family including his devoted wife and best friend Paula, his treasured children Kelly and Daniel, his mother Ann, his in-laws Peter and Anne, his siblings Joyce, Jackie, Mary, Brian, and Tommy, as well as his extended family, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. John’s father Tommy and uncle Sean have predeceased him.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rochfortbridge, after a period of repose at John Healy’s Chapel of Rest on Tuesday, August 22nd. A cremation ceremony will take place at Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to St. Luke’s Hospital, Dublin. Please note that the family home will be strictly private on the morning of the funeral service.

The Mooney family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Palliative Care team, Public Health nurses, and the Home Care team, particularly Emer, Laura, and Vinny, for their exceptional care of John during his illness.
