It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Josephine Mullen {née Barron}.
Josephine peacefully departed this life on Monday, August 7th, 2023, under the attentive care of the staff at St. Anne’s Dementia Care Unit, Dungarvan Community Hospital. She is preceded in death by her infant daughter Brenda, parents John and Maureen, and her brother Tom.
Josephine will be dearly mourned and greatly missed by her daughters Jennifer and Susan, sons Cormac, Gerard, and Joey, as well as her daughters-in-law Cliona and Rebecca and sons-in-law Mark and Michael. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Conal, Josie, Ina, Jack, Oscar, Liadh, and Laragh. Her sisters Mary, Helena, Pauline, and Ann, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors, and many friends also grieve her loss.
The visitation for Josephine will take place at The Kiely Funeral Home in Dungarvan on the evening of Tuesday, August 8th, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with prayers at 6:30 p.m. A Requiem Mass will follow on Wednesday, August 9th, at 11 a.m. at Butlerstown Church, Co. Waterford, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The family of Josephine would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the devoted staff of St. Anne’s Dementia Care Unit for their exceptional care and companionship to Jo since November 2021. They would also like to thank their neighbors and friends for their kindness and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to St. Anne’s Dementia Care Unit, Dungarvan Community Hospital. Donation boxes will be available at the funeral home and church.
