Notice: Julia O’Toole {nee Costello} passed away peacefully on July 9, 2023, at Benchmark Senior Living in Massachusetts, USA. She was the beloved wife of the late Coleman O’Toole and the loving mother of Mary, Barbara, and Gail. Julia was also a dear sister of Tommy and was preceded in death by her siblings Coleman, Mary, Kathy, and Bridie, as well as her nephews Colm, Padraic, and Declan. She will be deeply missed by her sons-in-law, Tony, Cary, and Nick, and her grandchildren Peter, Sean, Andrew, Mary, Kevin, Molly, Sinéad, and Rory. Julia is survived by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends in both the USA and Ireland.
Julia’s visitation will take place at Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home in Westwood on Thursday, August 10th, from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 11th, at 10am at St. Margaret Mary Church in Westwood, followed by interment at New Westwood Cemetery. The Mass will be live-streamed at 3pm Irish time on the St. Margaret Mary Church website.
Instead of flowers, donations can be made in Julia’s memory to The Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy or St. Anthony’s Shrine.
