Notice: Kathleen {Kay} McDermott {Nee MacMahon} of Ballykeefe, Dooradoyle, Limerick and Rhynagonnaught, Doonbeg, Co.Clare passed away peacefully on 29th July 2023, surrounded by her loving family and in the care of Millbrae Lodge, Newport. She was the beloved wife of the late Terry and a dearly loved mother to Annette, Terence, Catherine, Brian and the late John. Kay will be deeply missed by her son-in-law, daughters-in-law, adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and neighbours. She was predeceased by her sisters Hilda, Mabel, Emily and Marie, brothers Cyril and Brendan, and granddaughter Karen. May she rest in peace.
The funeral arrangements for Kay include a repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Monday {31st July} from 4.30pm to 6pm, followed by a removal to St. Munchin’s Church, Clancy Strand. A requiem mass will be held on Tuesday {1st August} at 11am, followed by burial in Old Mungret Cemetery.
