Notice: Kitty {Kay} O’Keeffe {nee Toomey}, who previously resided in Baggotstown, Knockainey and Kilcornan, peacefully passed away on July 30th, 2023, at St. Ita’s Community Hospital in the compassionate care of the exceptional Blue Bell ward and Orchid unit staff. Predeceased by her siblings Breda {Keane}, Maureen {O’Connell}, Joan {Finn}, Esther {Dempsey}, Paddy Toomey, and nephew Mark Dempsey. Kitty will be greatly missed by her beloved husband Mossie, children Marie, Caroline, Haulie, and Linda, grandchildren Amy, Shelly, and Eoghan, brother Andy, sisters-in-law Ita {Toomey}, Eileen {Tynan}, and Kathleen {O’Keeffe}, brothers-in-law Mickie O’Keeffe and Joe Dempsey, June, Patrick, Alan, nieces, nephews, carers, nurses, and the staff at St. Ita’s Community Hospital, as well as relatives, neighbors, and friends.

The repose will take place at Kieran Madigan’s Funeral Home, Main Street, Askeaton, V94 K598, on Tuesday evening, August 1st, from 5 to 7 pm. The Requiem Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, Kilcornan, on Wednesday at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Kilcornan Cemetery.
