Notice: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Mary {Peggy} Murphy {nee Carney} on February 3rd, 2024. Peggy, originally from Arderry, Aghamore, Co Mayo, peacefully passed away at UHG Galway at the age of 80. She was the beloved wife of the late Joe from Carnacrow, Headford and the daughter of the late Michael and Annie Carney. Peggy is survived by her son Tony and daughter Jackie, as well as her siblings, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family and friends. May she Rest in Peace.

Remains will be reposing at The Corless Funeral home Kinvara and a Requiem Mass will be held at St. Colman’s Church, Ballinderreen with interment in Drumacoo Cemetery. The family kindly requests that the house remain private and suggests donations to the Irish MS Society. Condolences can be left online or sent in the traditional manner, and all enquiries can be directed to Corless Funeral Services, Kinvara. Peggy, initially from Arderry, Aghamore, Co Mayo, was the beloved wife of the late Joe from Carnacrow, Headford. She was the daughter of Michael and Annie Carney and shall be deeply missed by her son Tony, her daughter Jackie, and her grieving family, sisters, brothers, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. May she Rest in Peace.
