Notice: Maria Lezama, formerly of L’Arche in Cork, passed away peacefully on July 23rd, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of the staff at Cork University Hospital. She was the beloved sister of Michael, Christopher, Urban, Genevieve, Nicole, Louisa, Marcus, and the late Finbar. Maria was the cherished daughter of the late Ann Bridget Peschier {née Lezama} and the late Victor Arnold Peschier. She will be greatly missed by her family, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
The funeral arrangements include a visitation at Wilton Funeral Home on July 24th from 5.00pm to 6.00pm, followed by a Requiem Mass on July 25th at 1.00pm in the Church of the Way of the Cross Togher. The Mass will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend. After the service, Maria will be laid to rest in St. James’ Cemetery, Chetwynd. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cork University Hospital in Maria’s memory.
