Marie Ward{née Murray}

Notice: Marie Ward, a resident of Ballard, Roundwood, Co. Wicklow, and former resident of Ringsend, Dublin, passed away peacefully at her home on May 15th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Aoife. She is survived by her beloved husband Edward, children Denis, Helen, Peter, Edward, Sinéad, Declan, Brendan and Angela, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother Tommy, sisters-in-law Bridie, Breda, and Emily, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Marie Ward’s remains will be reposing at her home on May 16th from 2 pm to 8 pm. The removal will take place on May 17th at 10.15 am to St. Patrick and St. Killian’s Church, Clara Vale, where a Funeral Mass will take place at 11 am before burial in Brockagh Cemetery, Glendalough. The family is requesting that people do not send flowers but instead donate to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

The Roundwood community is mourning the loss of Marie Ward, who was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed peacefully in her own home. While her family mourns her loss, they are grateful for the time that they had with her and the memories that they shared. The funeral arrangements have been made, with Marie’s remains resting at home before the funeral Mass at St. Patrick and St. Killian’s Church. The family is requesting that donations be made to The Alzheimer Society of Ireland in lieu of flowers, highlighting the importance of this organization to the family.
