Notice: Mark O’Gara, formerly of The Cosy Bar and Frenchlawn, passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2023, surrounded by his family and under the care of the staff at Portiuncula University Hospital. He leaves behind his beloved wife Stella, sons Daragh and Gerard, sisters Mary and Margaret, brother Gerard, Daragh’s partner Deneka, granddaughter Éala, as well as extended family, friends, and neighbors who will miss him greatly. Mark was preceded in death by his parents Pat and Margaret, and his brother Paul. May he rest in peace.

The funeral arrangements for Mark include a viewing at Smyth’s Funeral Home in Roscommon on Sunday evening, followed by a removal from his home on Antogher Road on Monday morning. The funeral service, known as the Mass of Resurrection, will take place at the Sacred Heart Church in Roscommon, followed by burial at St Coman’s Cemetery.
