Mary Aherne {née Corkery}

Notice: Mary Aherne, of Highfield West, College Road, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of the staff at Bishopscourt Residential Care. She was the beloved mother of Moira, Michael, and Louise, and the dear sister of Joan, late Frank, and late Paddy. Mary was also cherished by her nine grandchildren, Amy, Jack, Connor, Niall, Eoin, Catlin, Ashling, Clodagh, and Emily. She will be fondly remembered by her family, sons-in-law John and James, daughter-in-law Jane, extended family, and friends.

Reposing at Wilton Funeral Home, Sarsfield Road of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd. from 4.00pm to 5.00pm on Sunday, July 2nd. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 11.00am at the Church of The Immaculate Conception, The Lough, and can be viewed remotely. Mary’s funeral will follow at St. Finbarr’s Cemetery.
