Notice: Mary Doherty {formerly known as Mary Leonard}, who resided in Stratford-on-Slaney, Co. Wicklow and previously lived in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2023, at her home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Nial, grandchildren Luke and baby Isobel, brothers John and Brian, and sister-in-law Patricia. Mary was a loving mother to David, Barbara, Stephen, Leonard, and Selena. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family, daughter-in-law Helga, sons-in-law John and Jon, sister-in-law Noreen, cherished grandchildren Emma, Sarah, Mark, Rachel, John, James, Justine, Loughlan, Luchia, Lloyd, Jack, Kieran, and Niamh, as well as great-grandchildren Samuel, William, and Eva.
Let us pray for Mary’s gentle soul to rest in peace.
The funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Stratford-on-Slaney on Saturday morning at 11am, followed by the burial alongside Nial at Mount Venus Cemetery in Dublin.
