Mary Elliott{née O’Donnell}

Notice: Mary Elliott {nee O’Donnell} of Doochary, Co. Donegal, has passed away peacefully after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family. She faced her illness with great strength and dignity. Mary was the beloved wife of Manus and the cherished mother of Rosemarie, Annette, and Simon. She was also adored by her grandchildren and loved by her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, and sister Bridget. Mary will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, and neighbors.

The funeral arrangements for Mary include a reception at Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home in Dungloe on Thursday, July 27th, with a Rosary at 8 p.m. Her remains will then be taken to her home in Doochary. On Friday, July 28th, there will be a further reception with a Rosary at 8 p.m. The Requiem Mass will take place on Saturday, July 29th, at 2 p.m. in St. Conal’s Church, Doochary, followed by burial in the new cemetery. The family expresses their deep gratitude for the sympathy and support offered during this difficult time.

Mary Elliott, a strong and dignified woman, has peacefully passed away after battling a long illness. Her devoted family and the compassionate staff of Áras Mhic Shuibhne were at her side throughout her illness. Mary’s warmth and love were cherished by her husband, Manus, and her children Rosemarie, Annette, and Simon. She will always be remembered as a beloved grandmother to Enda, Paul, Maria, Cian, Eoin, Katie, and Luke. Mary’s extended family, including her sister Bridget, and friends offer their condolences and support during this time of loss. The funeral services will be held at Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home in Dungloe and St. Conal’s Church, Doochary, where Mary will be laid to rest in the new cemetery.
