She was surrounded by her loving family at St. Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin. Maura was born in Castletown-Bearhaven, Co. Cork and Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, James {Jim}, in October 2022, as well as her two sisters, Terry and Claire. Maura received immense love and support from her family during her last few months. She is survived by her children, Maria, Shay, Terry, Martin, Paul, Declan, Damien Robert, Grace, and Olga, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Her son, Damien, specifically mentioned for the care and devotion she showed him. Maura will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Maura’s funeral arrangements include a repose at Massey Bros. Funeral Home in Templeogue Village on July 26th from 5pm to 7pm. The removal will take place on Thursday morning to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church Ballyboden for an 11 am Requiem Mass, followed by cremation at the Victorian Chapel in Mt. Jerome at 1pm. A livestream of both the Requiem Mass and cremation service will be available for those who wish to attend virtually. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Cheeverstown House.
