MAURICE {MOSSY} BEVAN

Notice: Maurice “Mossy” Bevan, a retired Lieutenant of Number 4 Company An Slua Muirí, peacefully passed away on June 22nd, 2023 at Farranlea Community Nursing Unit in Cork. He was surrounded by his loving family. Mossy was a renowned Painter Decorator and the beloved husband of the late Mary, as well as a loving father to Irene, Cecelia, Gloria, Sandra, Maurice, Veronica, Regina, Suzanne, and Lorraine. He will be greatly missed by his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, relatives, and friends.

The funeral arrangements for Mossy include a viewing at Sullivan’s Funeral Home in Turners Cross on Sunday, June 25th from 3pm to 4pm. A Requiem Mass will be held on Monday, June 26th at 1.30pm at the Church of the Assumption in Ballyphehane, which can be streamed online. Following the Mass, Mossy will be laid to rest at St Joseph’s Cemetery on Tory Top Road.
