Michael Burke

Notice: Michael Burke, a former resident of Attymon, Athenry, and Lakelawn and Glanmire, Co. Cork, passed away peacefully at Galway Hospice. He is mourned by his daughter Meg, partner Mary, son-in-law Michael O’Donovan, grandchildren Daphne, Blair, and Lainey, Mary’s daughter Tracie and her husband Conor Harrington, Mary’s son Mike, partner Michelle and grandchildren Jamie, Saoirse, and Olivia. He is also remembered by his sisters and brothers, Bernadette, Carmel, Liam, Margaret, Nora, Paddy, Marie, and Rose, as well as extended family, neighbors, and friends. The visitation took place at Quinn’s Funeral Home, Athenry, and the funeral was held at St. Peter & Paul’s Church, Kiltullagh, followed by burial in Killimordaly Cemetery. Family requested donations towards the Galway Hospice instead of flowers. Michael Burke was remembered with the poem, “God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be…”
