Notice: Michael Heffernan, a resident of Arklow and formerly of Avoca, Co. Wicklow, passed away on June 21, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at Wicklow Hospice, Magheramore. He was the beloved father of Jennifer, cherished son of Phyliss and the late John, and treasured brother of John and the late Margaret Quinn. Mike was also an adored grandfather to Ava and Jack. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, mother, grandchildren, brother, brother-in-law Willie, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends, and neighbors. May he rest in peace.
A funeral service for Mike will be held on Friday at 10am at S.S. Mary & Patrick’s Church in Avoca, followed by burial in Castlemacadam Cemetery. Prior to the service, he will be reposing at Mine View House in Tigroney, Avoca, where family and friends can pay their respects on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm.
