Owen O’Donovan

Notice: Owen O’Donovan of Cork passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on May 3rd, 2023. He was the loving husband of Mary and the father of Joan, Denise, Mary, and the late Diarmuid. Owen was also the brother of Sr. Patrick, Siobhan, Diarmuid, and the late Maurice, Liam, and Tom. He will be dearly missed by his family, including his grandchildren Sean, Cian, Aidan, and Sam, as well as by his sons-in-law, Anthony and Stephen, relatives, and friends.

Owen’s remains will be reposing on Sunday, May 7th, at the Wilton Funeral Home on Sarsfield Road from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. On Monday, May 8th, a requiem mass will be held at 2:00 pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at The Lough. After the service, Owen will be laid to rest at St. Oliver’s Cemetery on Model Farm Road.

The announcement concludes with the Gaelic phrase, “Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis,” which translates to “May his faithful soul be at the right hand of God.” Owen O’Donovan will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
