Paddy Byrne

Notice: Paddy Byrne, a resident of Lakeview, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Love Lane, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, passed away after a brief illness at the age of 75. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Tom and Seamus, as well as two nephews. He is survived by his wife Betty, children Mary, Paddy {Aine}, Patrice {Katie}, Tony {Caroline}, Sandra {Eamon}, and Philip, sister Betty, and grandchildren Andrea, Thomas, and Zoe. He was a former member of the Irish Army, having served from 1960 to 1998.

The deceased’s remains will be received at his residence for two days before being taken via a walking procession to St. Mary’s Church in Castleblayney for funeral Mass. Burial will follow immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Messages of condolence can be left on the website, and the funeral Mass will be live-streamed on the church’s website.

Paddy Byrne was a respected member of his community and served his country as a member of the Irish Army. He will be missed by his family, friends, and colleagues, and his death is mourned by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
