Peter Murphy

Notice: Peter Murphy, a former Principal of Palmerstown Community School, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Hannah and loving father of Brenda, Tom, Derek, and John Paul. Peter was also the brother of the late John and is survived by his brother, sisters, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the Larry Massey Funeral Home on Tuesday, and Peter will be laid to rest on Wednesday following a funeral Mass at St. Alphonsus and Columba Church in Ballybrack. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown.

Peter’s dedication to education as a former school principal will be remembered by many who benefited from his leadership. His family and friends will mourn his loss, and he will be missed dearly. May he rest in peace.
