RONALD {ROLAND} POWER

Notice: Roland, formerly of New York and Easterfield, Ballyshrule, Portumna, Co. Galway, passed away peacefully at Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe. He was surrounded by his family and received excellent care from the staff at the hospital and the Holy Family Nursing Home in Killimor. Roland was preceded in death by his wife Una, his sisters Mary T. Felle and Eileen Martin, and his brothers Paddy Power and Michael Power. He will be deeply missed by his sister Eva Abberton, his brother Vincent Power, as well as other family members, relatives, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

The funeral arrangements include a viewing at St. Mary’s Funeral Home in Woodford, Co. Galway, on June 27th, with removal to St. John the Baptist Church that same evening. The funeral mass will be held the following day at Woodford, followed by burial in Kilcatherine Cemetery in Eyeries, Beara, Co. Cork. The family has requested that only family flowers be sent, but donations to Galway Hospice are welcome. A live stream of the funeral mass will be available on the provided link.
