Rosaleen O’Grady {née Hickey}

Notice: Rosaleen O’Grady, formerly known as Rosaleen Hickey, from Kilieatin, Clogheen, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, has passed away at her home in the company of her beloved children. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, brother James, and sister Margaret Mary. Rosaleen will be sorely missed by her devoted children Joan, Helen, Fiona, Henry, William, and Eimear. She also leaves behind her sister Teresa, brothers Fr. John and Fr. Michael, sisters-in-law Joan and Pat, brother-in-law Willie, cherished grandchildren, son-in-law Maurice and Ian, daughter-in-law Audrey, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Reposing will be held at St. Theresa’s hospital mortuary in Clogheen on Monday, April 24th, from 5pm to 8pm, with a requiem mass scheduled for the following day at 11am in St. Mary’s church Clogheen, then burial in Shanrahan Cemetery. It is comforting to note that the mass will be live-streamed. May the soul of Rosaleen O’Grady rest in perfect peace.

The community of Kilieatin, Clogheen is in mourning as Mrs. Rosaleen O’Grady {nee Hickey} has gone to join the great beyond surrounded by her caring children. Rosaleen was a beloved mother to Joan, Helen, Fiona, Henry, William, and Eimear. Her siblings, sister Teresa, brothers Fr. John and Fr. Michael, sons-in-law Maurice and Ian, daughter-in-law Audrey, sisters-in-law Joan and Pat, brother-in-law Willie, grandchildren, nieces, and a host of other relatives and well-wishers will miss her greatly. Rosaleen’s life was well-lived, and her memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
