Born in Burma on May 20th, 1928, Sister Joan lived a life filled with love, sacrifice, and faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and a niece. Sister Joan is deeply missed by her community, Irish Region, and Sisters of St Joseph of Chambery across the world.
Her sisters in the community express gratitude to the staffs of the Raheny Community Nursing Unit and Beaumont Hospital for their care of Sister Joan. Her remains will be reposed at the Sisters of St Joseph of Chambery on May 9th before a funeral mass on May 10th at the Our Lady Mother of Divine Grace Church in Raheny, followed by burial in Dardistown Cemetery. Sister Joan’s life and devotion to her family and faith will always be remembered with love.
