Notice: Sonja Potratz, a resident of Marian Row in Ballinagh, passed away peacefully at the Cavan General Hospital on May 8, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Joachim and son Stefan. Survived by her daughter Claudia, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, nephews, and nieces, Sonja’s passing leaves a deep void in the lives of those who knew her. She will always be remembered for her kind, warm-hearted and loving nature.

The funeral ceremony was held at Finnegans Funeral and Crematorium in Dublin Road, Cavan. The viewing of the remains started on the evening of May 9th and lasted until 6:30 pm. The Funeral Service was held the next day at 2:00 pm, followed by a private burial in the Ballintemple Church of Ireland Graveyard.
