Sr. Elizabeth Delaney

Notice: Sr. Elizabeth Delaney, a member of the Dominican Sisters, passed away on May 6th, 2023, in the care of her fellow sisters and staff of Santa Sabina House. Born to Michael and Mary Delaney, she is survived by her sister, Bridie Hourigan, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Her siblings Martin and Pat, and sisters Kathleen, Peig Ryan, Sara O’Loughlin, and Maureen Rochford predeceased her.

Sr. Elizabeth’s life was marked by a deep devotion to her community and her faith. In recognition of this commitment, she donated her body to medical science. A mass will be celebrated in her honor at the Cabra Campus, where attendees can both pay their respects and view the service live. Her passing is mourned by those who knew and loved her, and who will remember her with warm fondness. May she rest in peace.

An accomplished member of her community, Sr. Elizabeth lived her life in service of her faith and was remembered upon her passing by her surviving loved ones. Her sister Bridie Hourigan mourned her loss, as did many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In a final act of kindness, Sr. Elizabeth donated her body to medical science. Her passing is a great loss to those who were fortunate enough to know her and be touched by her kindness and generosity. May she rest in peace.
