Obituary – In Loving Memory of Sr. Mairéad O’Brien
Sr. Mairéad peacefully passed away at Kinsale Community Hospital on Thursday August 3rd, 2023. She was a cherished member of the Convent of Mercy, Winters Hill, Kinsale, and a beloved daughter of the late James and Mary O’Brien. She was also preceded in death by her sister Annie and brother-in-law Peter Thorpe.
She will be deeply missed by her Community at the Convent of Mercy, as well as her loving sister Mary, niece Susan, nephew Kevin, their families, and a multitude of friends.
Visitation will be held at Gabriel and O’Donovan’s Funeral Home, Kinsale, on Sunday {6th August} from 5pm to 6pm, accompanied by prayers.
A Requiem Mass will take place on Monday {7th August} at St. John the Baptist Church, Kinsale, at 11am, followed by Sr. Mairéad’s burial at St. Eltin’s Cemetery, Kinsale.
