Notice: “In Cork on the 29th of July 2023, after a peaceful passing at home surrounded by his beloved family, TOM McCARTHY, formerly of Redemption Road, Sydney, Australia, and Collins Barracks, Cork {3 Garr S & T} peacefully passed away. TOM was the dearly loved husband of Kathleen {nee O’Sullivan} and the cherished father of Elaine, Niall, Barry, and Owen. He was also a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. TOM will be deeply missed by his heartbroken wife, family, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbors, and friends.
A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, 2nd August, at 11.00am at St. Joseph’s Church in Mayfield. Following the Mass, the funeral will take place at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Kilcully. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Marymount Hospice.
