She was the beloved wife of the late Robert, cherished mother of Katie-Ann, and dear sister of Miriam, Tricia, Stephen, Tim, and Michael. Valerie will be deeply missed by her daughter, siblings, extended family, friends, and neighbors. The repose will take place at her sister Tricia’s house, with prayers being held on Monday, June 26th. A requiem mass will be held at St Michael’s Church on Tuesday, June 27th, followed by cremation at Island Crematorium.

The family has requested that attendees wear bright colors or something purple in honor of Valerie’s vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Little Blue Heroes and C.S.P.C.A. Her family expresses gratitude to nieces Andrea Nation and Danielle Conway. Valerie, who hailed from Mahon in Cork, passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, with the compassionate care of the staff at Cork University Hospital. She was the cherished wife of the late Robert and the doting mother of Katie-Ann. Valerie’s siblings, Miriam, Tricia, Stephen, Tim, and Michael, mourn her loss and will hold her dear in their memories. Her daughter, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, neighbors, and even her pet dog Noddy will profoundly miss her.

The memorial service will be held at St Michael’s Church in Blackrock, where attendees can participate remotely. Following the service, Valerie will be cremated at the Island Crematorium in Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. In lieu of purchasing flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to two organizations close to Valerie’s heart: Little Blue Heroes and C.S.P.C.A. To honor Valerie’s vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to the lives of those who knew her, attendees are encouraged to wear bright colors or something purple. The family expresses their heartfelt appreciation to Valerie’s nieces, Andrea Nation and Danielle Conway, for their exceptional support.
