Veronica Woods {née McGowan}

Notice: Veronica Woods {nee McGowan}, aged blank, passed away on June 29th, 2023, after a courageous battle with a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at her home in Towneycorry, Drumkeeran, Co. Leitrim. Veronica was the cherished wife of Kevin and beloved mother of Marian, Catherine, Vera, and Ciaran. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, adored grandchildren – Hayley, Noah, Kai, and Sam, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbors, and friends. Veronica was predeceased by her parents – Michael P. and May McGowan, as well as her infant sister, Bernadette.

Reposing will take place at the Heritage Centre Chapel of Rest in Carrick-on-Shannon on Friday, June 30th, from 5pm until 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Drumshambo, which can be streamed live on the following link: https://www.churchtv.ie/drumshanbo/. Veronica will be laid to rest in the new Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, the funeral will be limited to family and close friends only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North West Hospice, either through McGowan Funeral Directors or via the donation link provided.

Veronica’s family is deeply grateful for the understanding and support they have received during this exceptionally difficult time. May she rest in peace.
