Notice: Father Denis Talbot, a retired parish priest of Galbally and Aherlow Parish, passed away on July 20, 2023, under the care of Millbrae Lodge Nursing Home in Newport, Co. Tipperary. He was predeceased by his parents, Paddy and Bridie Talbot, and is survived by his siblings Ana, Michael, and Pat. His passing deeply affects his family, including the Noonan, Talbot, and Maher families, as well as his nephews, nieces, cousins, Archbishop Kieran O’Reilly, Fr. John O’Neill P.P., and the clergy and religious of the Cashel and Emly diocese, his faithful parishioners, and numerous friends.
Canon Denis will be laid to rest in the Church of Christ the King in Galbally, Co. Limerick. A viewing will be held on July 24, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm, followed by evening prayer. The Requiem Mass will take place on July 25, 2023, at 12 noon, with burial in the church grounds. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that only family flowers be provided. The funeral Mass and burial will be live-streamed for those unable to attend.
