Notice: Wilfie Garland of Rosefield Farm, Corbeg, Monaghan, peacefully passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 27th, surrounded by his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his siblings Emma, Eddie, Olivia, and Cyril. Wilfie’s wife and best friend, Elizabeth, along with their children Hilary {Rodney}, Alan {Julie}, Neville {Joanne}, and Glenn, mourn the loss of their beloved husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Leah, David, Amy, Jenny, Lucy, Joshua, Amelia, Ethan, and Erin. The family, as well as their neighbors and friends, are deeply saddened by his passing.

A service of thanksgiving and celebration of Wilfie’s life will be held on Thursday, June 29th, at 2pm at St. Sillian’s Parish Church Tyholland. After the service, he will be laid to rest in the adjacent churchyard. Friends and family can pay their respects at the family home on Tuesday from 4pm to 9pm and on Wednesday from 12 noon to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Sillian’s Parish Church Repair Fund, Tyholland, or Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care.
