William {Billy} McCORMACK

Notice: William McCormack, affectionately known as Billy, passed away suddenly at his home in Summerhill, Dublin 1 on May 7th, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Rita and William, as well as his three brothers, Noel, Stephen, and Patrick. Billy was survived by his son, Billy Jr., his sister Tina, and sister-in-law Carmel. He was also beloved by his nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, uncle Denis, extended family, and wide circle of friends.

Family flowers were requested by the family and donations in Billy’s memory could be made to the Mater Hospital Dublin. Billy’s family said their final goodbyes to him at Jennings Funeral Home on Amiens Street on May 13th. A funeral mass was held on May 15th, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Sean McDermott Street, Dublin 1, with cremation taking place at Glasnevin Crematorium in Dublin 11. A live stream of the funeral mass via an independent media provider was available for those unable to attend in person.

Billy will be remembered fondly by his family, friends, and community. They expressed their gratitude to the Mater Hospital Dublin for continuing their valued work and asked that people respect their privacy during this difficult time.
