William passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his beloved family, after a short illness that he faced with bravery.
Deeply mourned by his devoted wife Maureen, children Raymond, Tina, Liam, Amanda, and Michael, grandchildren Khea, Risa, Avril, Aimee, and Alexander, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law James, partners Glaiza, Jimmy, and Louise, caring sister Mary, brothers-in-law JJ, John, Kevin, and Michael, sisters-in-law Breda and Carmel, along with their families, friends, and neighbors.
Also remembering his late parents Michael and Eileen, sister Nora, and brother-in-law John Ryan.
The Fitzgerald Family expresses their sincerest gratitude to the night nurses Ann and Helen from the Cancer Society, nurses Bridget and Sheila from Milford Hospice, Public Health nurse Alison, Dr. James Moloney and his team, and the Oncology Unit staff at University Hospital Limerick for their kindness and support during William’s illness.

The funeral will take place at St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Mungret, with the viewing on Thursday, August 24th, from 6pm to 8pm. The Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, August 25th, at 1pm, followed by the burial in Castlemungret Cemetery.
