Notice: Zofia Carik, a resident of Castlebar and formerly of Wroclaw, Poland, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023 at the Mayo Hospice. She was preceded in death by her husband Jurek. Zofia leaves behind her son Marcin, daughters Gosia and Ann, eight grandchildren, as well as her siblings and extended family, who will greatly miss her. Funeral arrangements include a viewing at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home on October 25th from 6.00pm to 7.30pm, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church of the Holy Rosary on October 26th at 12noon. Private cremation will take place afterward at Shannon Crematorium. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the church’s website or can be listened to on Castlebar Parish Radio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mayo Hospice. Condolences can be sent to the family through Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home.
